They are always willing to swat worker bees, but who is checking on them? They go on quarter after quarter, year after year, and all they have to do is make sure that the org changes enough so that accounting can never do a proper year over year comparison. If sales don’t provide the results they want, just talk consumption. Just mix it up, and shot someone else!

SM has been there since 1992. He not only knows where the bodies are buried, he buried them himself. If they got rid of him, he would go to AWS, Microsoft, or GCP and Oracle would cease to exist.
They will reorg upper management at the same they give the OK for your raise and RSUs.

Because LE owns 43% of the company, he cannot get fired by the board; so he decides the top management fate.
Even though it’s a publicly traded company the company operates like it’s one owner company so really LE is the king at Oracle, and the rest of the investors have no real control.
It is not fair to use the CX support org as MS brought in his friends from his past and gave them titles 2-3x higher than they were. Those are favors that he cannot turn back on now
An old saying, but appropriate here: It’s good to be King.

Whose gonna boss the boss? Supposedly the BoD, but most BoDs are backslapping rubber stamp groups of friends and allies.
In CX support org upper management is more than the ICs in each team.
