What up chat! Figured I'd drop you all a line now that I'm clean and clear with the bag Ally gave me to walk and beyond the date range where I couldn't say anything. Landed a role in the Big Four right at the end of the 60 day severance period of Ally paying me to golf and go on vacation and I couldn't be happier. They gave me my regular check every two weeks for two months then cut me a massive check for my years of service and paid out all my PTO. Spent quite a few years at Ally not realizing it's not even a GSIB. If Ally failed, it would have no affect on the global banking economy. Pretty crazy fact. Had I known that they literally don't matter I wouldn't have wasted my valuable career years there. It's insane to know now how far behind Ally is when compared to other banks. Sathish can't manage a budget and doesn't know what a bottomline is - if you're in tech I'd go ahead and start looking because with all the tenured middle management exiting you know there's another round of layoffs coming! He can't wait to go buy more fruity colored SB Dunks with the little salary savings he's gonna have when he cuts more tech jobs. When they come for you just know that the ones before you are well into a new role elsewhere - hold on for as long as you can and make them pay you to leave. I smiled all the way to the (real) bank!

And yeah, it’s just all around a mediocre “big bank”. A lot of stuff they did in my department was pointless busy work “because of the regulators”. Turns out it really wasn’t!
Management has their head so far up their own butts they can’t see it. Oh well!
I can’t wait to withdraw the last of my funds from my Ally account and be completely done with them.
