Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I love the RTO presence report

It’s showing me working way more hours than I’m actually working!

As long as you are doing 5x8 and no menial work in a non legacy group then chances of getting passed over for layoffs goes up. If the work can be automated, contracted out or offshored to cheaper labor then start sweating.

@e7 even locations which were not ready and was 3 days (no 8 hrs mentioned any where) got terminated even if they were doing overtime, night supports.

The only people fired thus far for non compliance are that consistently were under 3 hours per day or less, with the 5x8 mandate.

Anybody stating otherwise is lying .

I’m here for 8 hours. Work for 2.

Love it. I do less in those 8 hours each day than I have in 20 years. I walk, talk, eat, play ping pong, podcast, personal banking, read books, etc.
Goal: Do as little as possible because we are rated on one thing -- presence. Sc--w you Stank.

I have no sympathy for the people that were told they needed to come in

Don't worry, we hate you too and celebrate all your misery and failures. Those people whispering and laughing in the office? They are laughing at you.

The entire RTO reporting is broken. Supposedly, they are only looking at averages month over month, but since the report does not reflect your time correctly, this is also broken and if youn get fired because of it, you have a very good case against the company. Track your real working on line hours on your calendar and with Forcepoint on your PC. This will give you accurate login and logout times. And remember the clock starts after you swipe your entry card and its CT time.

I love being treated like a child after so many years at AT&T. LoL

Mine has been good the past two weeks with a couple more hours....Too bad they can not fix the older weeks where they undercut our hours as those issues are still there regardless of how may tickets Management open. Although we have a screen print from Forcepoint for those days so we have the back-up data...I also have a script I run shows login and logoff times.

In AT&T we don’t see any HR anytime, we follow our managers. And there were few teams were their managers send email in Feb to sit certain hours, before that there were no communication, and employees started following it, still their employees got terminated and Manager or director don’t dare to tell this fact to HRBP, they knew presence report was wrong as employees already discussed it with manager(as HR) but it was also not communicated properly and employees blamed of coffee badging and terminated. This is what happen in AT&T.

@av How much you shout, fact is not going to change, first of all no clear instructions, no space in office specifically till January 2025, over time work, managers hiding facts with HRBPs caused problem with the persons who were actually focusing on work. So no one is asking for any sympathy because you already did harm to someone who was not thinking about the a sudden bad report will surface and will be used to take false actions. Keep your mouth shut and look into your data and find out how many wrong terminations this company has done.

“I have no sympathy for the people that were told they needed to come in for their 8 hours like everyone else, but chose to ignore that altogether or come in for less than 3.”

Agreed.

They started RTO in January during the South’s worst winter storms in years. Southerners aren’t used to driving in snow or even being asked to unless they are medical or first responders. So there’s that.

It’s all nonsense and I hate to sound like a company shill…but all of this “people were wrongfully terminated because of bad data” stuff is really overblown.

I have no sympathy for the people that were told they needed to come in for their 8 hours like everyone else, but chose to ignore that altogether or come in for less than 3. From what I have seen, those are the ones that were sent packing.

Let’s stop with this false narrative that these these people were complying 100% with the mandate and were targeted anyway.

Hope they will be able to find the wrong terminations they did due to bad report where it was appearing coffee badging or just in and out. Because report was totally broken and they said they have evidences.
