Does Verizon have a tendency to have layoffs after holidays? In my old company we had cuts immediately after July 4th every single year, so it's kind of a stressful period for me. I'd like to be able to relax knowing the same isn't true here. If it isn't true, of course.

@187 maga id--ts always vote against their own best interest . Im sure you are filthy uneducated white trash so you don't even know any better but I'll explain to you real simple . trump and his friends don't like you. They don't want you at their country club or golf course. you can wear his hat and su-k his di-k but it will never change. He hates you and your family .
Lol he threatened more tariffs today. And the market tanked.
With trumpy in office don't expect anything good to happen. He will tariff something or bo-b someone and crash the economy eventually costing you your job. But you must feel the pain because your uneducated neighbors, coworkers, and friends voted against you.
Bye Felicia
Rumors of returning to the office for 3 days a week make me think it’s to push more employees out of the company. They try to come off big on the whole work life balance but if the intention is to return to office more days then they are failing miserably. We are already understaffed in some places and feel overworked. This company is unrecognizable
Who is this lame liberal that keeps posting stupid posts?
There’s no consistent pattern of Verizon conducting layoffs immediately after holidays like July 4th. Workforce reductions, when they occur, typically align with fiscal events such as end-of-quarter reviews or broader restructuring plans.
Given that Q2 ends on June 30, any staffing adjustments in early July would more likely reflect mid-year business decisions rather than holiday timing.
While layoffs can technically happen at any time in an at-will employment environment, there is no evidence that Verizon systematically targets the period following Independence Day.
Did you read anything about VZ before joining the company? VZ lays off whenever it benefits them, it has nothing to do with holidays. Except maybe for the yearly hohoscrew where employees are informed the end of October that they are being laid off, then off the books before year end.
If this is your first year you should be in good shape. VZ only wants to RIF those with the knowledge that have been around several years and make a good salary. All about saving the dollar, especially since during the last 8 years they have lost their way on how to increase revenue.
Bye bye
