When I started nearly 17 years ago, having AT&T on your resume opened doors. Now it feels like a red flag. Constant layoffs, overpriced and underperforming products, terrible customer care... They traded quality for cost-cutting and left the rest of us to deal with the fallout. Sad what greed did to this place.

"All of the coffee badging and "8 and skate" posts prove a lot of cleanup has been needed."
Coffe badging and 8 and Skate are a result of the company implementing a policy to try to make as many people as miserable as possible to increase and expedite an employee reduction. There was no greed or abuse . . . it was an attempt to continue to work like we have been for the last 15 years . . . before covid.
@am what is coffee badging when you didn’t ask to stay longer in office. Office presence was only meant to check you are in core locations. So in the crowded atmosphere where seat was not available and no one mentioned how many hours to be in office and some one need to support during night hours then if someone spend 1-3 hours in office and rest planned according to work ahead then whats wrong. You can’t generalize based on few persons and treat same ways every one. First give clear message then take action.
“Just saying, there are a lot of people that need to move on.”
First & foremost, that would include the C suite, complicit BOD + 2 layers of “VP’s”.
Get rid of the pension, and you will fix the problem. Just saying, there are a lot of people that need to move on.
Layoffs have been happening almost yearly in my 40 year career. Nothing new to me.
This company has lost its ethics, and they say they have video evidences to terminate their employees, can you believe it. They might have few instances but they generalized it and terminated them too under cobc who worked for more than 8 hours. So why you want to work with such company. It ruins its employees.
@a3 "And yet you stayed."
Money.
Let's not forget greed and abuse demonstrated by lower levels of management. All of the coffee badging and "8 and skate" posts prove a lot of cleanup has been needed.
I am so happy that this will be the last job Iever need. The next company I work for will be purely because I want to, not because I need to.
Just garbage leadership. All yes people without spines all the way to the top. The only time they er--t a spine is to tell a customer no to stop an escalation, then hide anonymously behind a call center.
It’s societal, look at our current President. Ethical nor moral considerations are considered today.
And yet you stayed.
