Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Another week, another inaccurate presence report . . .

This week I was shorted over 10 hours. That is more than double the previous week. This is getting worse as time moves forward. Thankfully, I keep all my own records. Everyone else should do the same.

Can anyone explain the reasoning of how it rounds down, never on the correct time zone or regular deletion of a few hours or entire days in the office?

"Document everything."

Don't forget about Syslog either. Syslog has been very accurate for me.

@b6 you are lucky your supervisor submitted ticket , few supervisors didn’t take it seriously even employee reported them

Document everything.

Print out the emails you sent to your supervisor. Take screenshots of your hourly report.

He-l, this could qualify for a class action.

Yup. It logged me for two hours when I was there for 9. I just send it to my boss who does nothing with it.

Your boss cannot do anything about it. You are supposed to contact HR - this is their mess.

HR shitcanned the HR Analytics AVP over all those reports about 3 weeks ago. Reports have been jacked up since , so maybe it has something to do with that surplus ?

This coincides with what I see as well. The reports have been sc--wed up since the beginning of June. This means HR is currently working with bad data.

I did actually end up collecting quite a bit of evidence to demonstrate the hourly report is inaccurate. I'm not just talking about taking photos of being in the office, but screenshots and records straight out of their time tracking system that directly contradicts what is being reported. It's a mess.

It gets even worse when you consider the fact that non-exempt roles cannot see their hourly report and therefore cannot dispute inconsistencies with HR, who still uses the report to determine RTO compliance. I won't say how I know, but let's just say I know they do it.

HR hides the hourly report from non-exempt roles because I suspect they are scared of off-the-clock work claims. However, in doing so they are digging themselves another legal hole.

@bt January month report was most faulty and they used it , just to set an example, they keep terminating all who were short than 3 hours. Later they couldn’t find any one because it was known to everyone. Poor January defaulters, they became example in AT&T history.

I feel like the constant issues are leading some L2 / L3 to start tuning it out. Already not seeing the hyper focus on it from them like a couple months ago. This is how it will sort of slowly fade away. They will still look for egregious offenders not coming in at al. But if you’re coming in, eh, close enough.

@b6 you are lucky your supervisor submitted ticket , few supervisors didn’t take it seriously even employee reported them . And when they terminated even at that time they didn’t notify HRBP that employee already reported this same time in and time out issue. And HRBP also said they did all investigations and they have proof. So you can be trapped with this issue any time. Better start making noise and sending emails to HRBP too.

Report was correct for me until 2 weeks ago. Two days it is showing correct start time of 5:30 but my end time is also 5:30 for zero hours and it should be 2:00 for 8.5 hours. Supervisor submitted ticket but it hasn’t been corrected yet.

"The root cause for a majority of issues reported in trouble tickets is time worked outside of core hours."

If you're salary a company can't tell you what hours they want you to work or how many hours per week to work. I smell a lawsuit.

@ah employees whose badge was not working in January they also got terminated under cobc using presence report. So nothing safe, they just use it to justify to DOL that its not layoff, its due to cobc.

This is really so bad to see. Everyone knows presence report is wrong but still they use it to terminate employees under cobc and they say they have evidences. If logs are wrong then evidence will be also wrong. Last we-pon they use is by saying they have video proof to just make other feel culprit. God help those who suffer due to this poor treatment by AT&T.

Do your time required, keep a log yourself, email the report to your personal email weekly, and quit worrying about that report. Yes it’s wrong for a lot of people. I just quit looking at it. I set my timer daily for 8hrs from the time I sit at my desk, when it beeps I go home. Do that and don’t worry about it. Easy money.

Nah, I have my own records. I will let them come to me. Hopefully, the first time they discuss with me it will be giving me a pink slip!

That is interesting because the report has been more inaccurate for me since I started going in 8 hours, 5 days!

Mine is wrong every week, you’re not the only one. That’s why they only terminated people with less than 3 hours on average but usually people with 6 hours and above are not getting investigated. Maybe between 3+ and 6 hours they are getting a nastygram from their manager only because HR is breathing down their necks. That’s why we are losing so many good managers lately, they don’t want to deal with this BS and go to companies that aren’t trying to actively make people miserable
