““you better not be a white guy over 40 who likes to make excuses for his lack of skills and marketability in the current marketplace.”

Uh huh, then why are all these companies talking about their DEI policies? Lauding how they’ve hired more xyz groups. What do you think that actually means? Preference given to non-white males. HR and workday screen you out before anyone even looks at your resume. That is real racism.

Yes.

Because I l know a lot of dim people that have left T one way or another over the last 5-10 years, and all of them that wanted to continue working landed a job...and many of them wound up far happier than they were here.

I know for 100 percent certain that our CTO could never get another job. He’s white, he’s stupid, he’s ineffective, and we have many cybersecurity breaches. He is also an advocate of culture re-engineering DEI policies that the supreme court has ruled violates civil rights.

“you better not be a white guy over 40 who likes to make excuses for his lack of skills and marketability in the current marketplace. Fixed that for you.”

Really? If the white guy is just making excuses then what do you have to say about DEI? Why does it exist if not because of an excuses and lack of skills for the marketplace? Why do companies need to know the color of someones skin is on a job application if not because of an excuse? Sounds to me like we found ourselves the hypocrite genius lefty in the crowd didn’t we?

Yes. I think the current job market is fubar right now though. Most jobs are ghost jobs and the ones that aren’t, well, you better not be a white guy over 40.

You can get a job if you are under 40, a person of color, with or without a degree. FACT.
Whenever I apply I always respond “pull my wiener” when they ask what age, race or gender I am.
