Heard from a friend that mainframe developers are exempt from relocation strategy. Lucky the few of them left in the skill set.

Folks, the wfh deadline is end of 2027. Plenty of runway left. Very few will be standing (that don’t have accommodations) at home.

Mainframe teams are still getting hit with layoffs, even though they are exempt from co-location this year.
It’s the same with Cyber Security. Some workers are being marked as essential employees therefore getting a remote work exemption regardless of their office location.
I don't think I'd consider anyone who continues with this shithole of a company, "lucky".
they don't want to do MF support offshore....
