Oracle is one of the worst low payer in product industry. Even service companies pay a lot more than this Product company. Unless you are on a visa bounded situation or on a personal issue it should be ok for any one to get a release.

When you join yo may not feel the salary pain immediately. Everything will feel nice initially. It only hurts later when your career is destroyed by ORCL and most have to restart from scratch.

The people I’ve known to work at oracle and join them are driven by greed. Epitome of trash cause they don’t help anyone.

Oracle is a large company and salary varies. Starting salary is ok, the main issue is salary hikes - those are indeed lower than average and doesn't necessarily keep up with inflation.
I myself on IC5 development got a decent salary, nothing flashy, but enough for me and my family.
Job market is horrific for 2 years already, it's bouncing back a bit in comparison to the previous year.
