Quote from the article below. I think they've gotten so used to laying off people that they DO take all these things lightly. I've yet to see someone targeted offered reskilling to stay.

Reducing our workforce is a difficult decision that we don’t take lightly. We make every effort to do this through attrition, voluntary departures, and reskilling efforts, but there are times like this when additional reductions are necessary. For eligible employees affected by these changes, we will provide severance pay, benefits and outplacement services.

@cy:
“Any Wire techs getting laid off or just office people?”

None this go around but it shouldn’t be long before long wire techs get the axe as T loves paying almost double for Digital Techs to do your job.

“Very sad. I am part of this layoff. After 52 years with the company.”

You aren’t kidding. This is one of the saddest things I have ever read. Is the 5 a typo?

"The notice did not list which stores in Huntsville would be losing employees..."

Man, that news station did just the bare minimum, didn't they? That's because it's not retail. It's a collections group handling federal contracts. (Under JVB)
