Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Things that make you go ummmm

Joe T gone, no fanfare, no announcement to the media.
Beau “retired” big announcement and fanfare
BillyBob’s 2 amigos gone 3 months apart
Stock price continues to flounder in spite of all the “changes” but BillyBob is still riding high
Wells Fargo execs all over the place bringing in their former colleagues in high dollar positions
A prominent former Wells exec saying on a call that don’t want to hear the words Project Star ever again stating it was too much and went to far
Wannabe Kelly King, Bender being like Kelly, the epitome of the Peter Principle and he’s not the only one, the rest shall remain nameless to protect the innocent
A business plan that continues to erode in markets that were once dominated by the predecessor banks but is hiring and trying to grow in markets where it had little to no presence
Investment banking, laughed at by competitors
Taking over sponsorship of a golf tournament that a bank with 2 trillion in assets, yes I said trillion walked away from
Using the money from sell of insurance for stock buybacks primarily with no bump to the stock
If there’s a worse run bank with a worse executive team would someone kindly point me to them and I will buy their stock, just kidding, SMDH

The lack of fanfare around Joe Thompson’s departure makes sense to me. It is shocking to me he was ever chosen for a leadership role, not to mention then shuffled around to another high-paying gift job.

His demeaning attitude towards others, job performance, and the incredible number of high performers he ran off will continue to be a drag on Truist. That Joe was actually chosen to run a major division of the bank, and then allowed to remain for four years despite all the major personnel and performance issues, sums up Truist’s failures in my opinion.

Meanwhile I sit here listening to a worthless senior manager drone on about in office expectations. If you avg less than 3 days per week you end up on a list...

What a colossal waste of resources.

The influx of high paid MD’s continues as no less than 6 were announced this week. Investment banking they make me laugh along with the rest of the industry.

Beau was fired for ignoring Billy Bob and pursuing his own agenda. I bet he sits alone in his house watching the Kelly Clarkson show.
