Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

More vague transition talk

A mid year reminder of the last townhall transition hints and posts of layoffs here. Meanwhile buildings being renovated yet shoestring centerwell teams in certain places which cannot possibly address patient needs. But hey get ready for whatever is looming based on made up metrics.

Sounds like Humana doesn’t care about information protection or supporting end users. Lasting off IT not ok!

What areas are having layoffs? There were some in IT EIP, enterprise information protection the week of Memorial Day.

@19z Thank you! I’m sorry EUS is being gutted. Can’t say it surprises me.

@16q EUS has been renamed a few times in the last few years. Its also been known as EUT and DSI before that. All the same people though, the folks that actually help when there are computer issues.

@16q
I'm guessing, but I think it's End User Support (IT).

Possibly RIF in CW in early July. Hope it doesn’t happen but there were some on insurance side the week before Memorial Day.

@dd I was in a bit of a different situation. I was at the top of the pay band for three years and was literally treated so poorly that I left. Interestingly enough I was replaced with not one person, but two !!! Tell me, how was that cheaper for Humana? One of them is a lead that won’t be doing anything, just like all the leaders above them.

@ee the best is made up numbers and then shaming staff who did not know the new numbers...and then implying that people who have been here 3+ years dont know as much as people here

You said useless directors and made up positions and I whole heartedly feel this comment while those of us on the front line are stretched to the Nth degree. Never enough staff to do the work but we have so many leaders and made up positions that we can't count them all. Who is orchestrating this disaster?

Sorry to hear about those impacted. Hope you'll find something you like soon. It seems like a new round of RIF coming? I actually really want to be RIFed, even volunteered, not planning to look for something else. How to get RIFed? It's better than just resigning with the benefits. I believe quite some associates with seniority are in this situation.

Front line staff here and just Rife'd. The minute we get to the top of our pay scale they rif and rarely replace. If they replace, it's for much less, no experience. Sad for an organization that continues to promote itself as a savior....

Bare bones CenterWell staff everywhere! Do more with a whole lot less or else! Meanwhile, they keep hiring more leaders and made-up positions while there are so few worker bees that everyone is unhappy with a ridiculous workload! We need more front line staff not useless directors and others to pretend to do work while just creating more work for people who actually do it
