Curious, I know several posters have mentioned that their direct managers have been kept in the dark as much as us, the worker bees during this realignment. However I find it very disappointing that a manager can tell one team member who holds the same role as another that those roles will be eliminated and not inform others. How much have they known and for how long??

Directors have know for some time. Managers have known for 2-3 weeks, including who on their team will be impacted.
Our manager and Director are just as clueless and anxious as us. They have no idea what’s coming either. Humana should be ashamed of themselves for the way they’ve done this. They preach so much about well being and emotional health etc and then do this to their employees. Very disheartening and has made me reconsider this company, even if I do survive the RIF.
This is normal for Humana.
This is beyond normal. The way this has been handled is cruel and unprofessional.
During the Sept RIF, my Director found out about what was going to take place just 10 mins before the meeting was held. So I don't believe everyone is aware of what is going on.
I don't think all leaders were told and I also don't believe that senior leaders from each area were not told already who is impacted. A 3rd party gives recommendations but they have a say internally.
You seem to think managers are trusted in some way by senior leadership. Nothing but nothing could be further from the truth.
Leaders learned this week the day notices would start going out and how the meetings would go, but do not know who since those decisions are done by a third party.
They are not allowed to tell
yikes our leaders know but are not telling us yet?
I think they’ve been told in the last day or so. And, it was decent of the manager to give the teammate the heads up
