This is all part of Sharts great replacement scheme. He wants anyone that worked here prior to him gone, for many reasons but primarily because those employees know a better place to work and because he believes they are tainted by scandal no matter how removed from it their role is. So, all the old dogs have to go and they need to be replaced by people that are super happy to work here. Young impressionable minds filled with mush are a great pool to draw from, so he wants to kiss their A to get them on board and eventually replace a disgruntled older worker. As with all Sharts plans, it all goes back to "I hate you and want you gone, as cheaply as possible". That's all he ever does. 1 trick pony.
It looks like managers who got interns were provided with instructions to show how great working at WF is. They don’t want to show to interns day-to-day tasks that people need to do. They need to keep interns “exited” until they join, if offered, and then find out that work that they will be assigned to do is not what they’ve been promised. This is kind of evil 👿
Just getting them used to showing up, kissing up and getting no $$ in return. Social programming of the young adults and phase II of their indoctrination.
Corporations praising the young and exploitable. This is heavily practiced in purer capitalist systems than ours, and it typically leads to career expiration at 30+. Everybody wants to pay for the young, cheap model.
Especially if a computer can do most of the thinking for them. MS released a study showing people who used AI became less intelligent, and corporations now want all workers using AI.
They will end up like the last batch of analyst that got the boot after a year.
Careful now, have some respect, they might be reading this. At least the ones that can read.
Because patting employees on the top of their head is cheaper than raises and bonuses.
Interns are young enough to still fall for it as motivation to work hard.
Because praising interns makes it seem like they are hiring and offering a career progression.
I know a few interns who came back full time and still got laid off yesterday. Happens every year.
Halfway intelligent interns can replace middle management since most don’t have technical nor practical competence and the inters will cost 1/5 as much.
