@gh maybe not?
@hh you sound like a youngster in dire need of a big kick in the nads. I think that might clear your mind.
Such a boomer. You guys ruined it for a lot of us. Lied to us about college, encouraged us to defer a career in trades. You're all just a bunch a white liberal women (even the men). You guys have fun hoarding your houses and watching your children suffer from your greed. No one is buying the BS "bachelors required, masters preferred" anymore. Go ahead and go in. Put your A$$ in that chair while you sit on remote meetings. Outsource your childcare to people who get paid a pittance all in the name of "culture" and "doing whats needed.." Have fun being "leveraged" by the executive office and good luck when you are laid off anyway because it never mattered in the 1st place. You simple fools.
It’s crazy that we at the supplier level bust our a-s to make parts for you guys 5 days in the office, yet our customer, you, are pi----g over 4. Try to contact our DRE on a Friday and she’s always fu--ing around, maybe some of you NEED to be in the office.
Despite any & all comments from above on how on-site improves quality and value of employee interactions the real fact is that this, like everything in business, is primarily about money. The slow-motion CRE disaster isn't even close to over yet, it's going to be wiping out a lot of additional tax revenues for cities like Dearborn who in turn will demand that the large employers like Ford force the worker drones to be in city limits more often to increase incidental spending and bolster the city's economy and tax revenues. Another economic concern is the new WHQ project started under Fields that was scaled back when everyone came in most every day. Low occupancy would make for highly inefficient structural costs around maintaining the facility.
You can aways quit.
Badge swipes...because that's the only metric our leadership is capable of meeting. Says a lot. Time to fire the whole lot of them as we can pay a person minimum wage to track badge swipes.
Wahhh! I have to drive into work. Wahhh!
Employees must follow and meet attendance as leadership requires.
@c0 I have full time childcare. I joined with a 1 day on site requirement that is going to 4x. I need to be accessible to my direct reports in India, but will now be driving 40 miles one way during prime collab hours with India and inaccessible to my team over a badge swipe.
Some of us already come in 4 days. We like our paycheck and benefits. If you are too remote then your position can likely get sent to LCC.
Many companies want 5 days now. Forget home. Recession and lay off times.
Just leave the company dude. Ford is heading to bankruptcy. It's coming and mark my words.
All the lazy people who are sitting at home or working located in other states are going o have to start working...OMG!!!!!!!
