Seeing all the LinkedIn posts from “safe” (for now) Nike employees as well as from people who don’t even work here is truly disgusting. “If you were impacted by layoffs today, please reach out me, I’m here for you.” STFU! It’s such an obvious humble brag disguised as empathy.

Thanks @OP. Let go today and wanna be left alone too!
@a9 : OP has the right to be upset and to be vocal about it.
Judging OP is not okay knowing that today, it was a mass layoffs.
OP - This attitude of yours is why you are either gone or will be gone soon.
Linkedin is for inspiration, motivation and occasional one legged dances! Not sure whether to be madder with people who post such cringe material (although it nicely overshoots the daily cringe dosage) or the ones who "like" such posts.
Not as much humble brag as people claiming how much money they have saved in the bank in case they get let go
Some of the people posting were impacted by previous waves. Some posting were long time employees who can help their former coworkers find new opportunities. Maybe not everyone is trying to be a di-k.
I’m not sure why there’s so much hate for the alumni network— it helped me find my next opportunity after I was impacted, and they never asked for anything from me.
I mean as someone who was laid off that alumni group has been incredible connections of industry people who have helped me get leads for roles so I wouldn’t knock it
I’m here for you op
@a2 curious about that. How are they predatory?
Yep. Also that alumni group is predatory and takes advantage of people at their lowest moments. Don’t give them the time of day.
