Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Leadership meeting

So let’s hear it…any update on the workplace email we got last Friday? I heard there was a meeting held today that may have provided further clarifications on office hours and WFH. Many directors and higher were in Kansas today to attend the meeting.

@e8 Performance isn't correlated with taking breaks. Unless your goal is to do a lot of low value high volume sh-t quality work.

What am I saying? This is Fiserv.

Ffs enough with the “gibblet” stuff

Very happy to hear performance will mean something again. We all know FB wasn’t completely wrong in getting rid of low performers but there’s still plenty of dudes taking that smoke break every hour and missing meetings and have to have their hand held for the little work they actually do. Maybe they’ll actually work when they know their coworkers are getting paid more.

@a5 Agree—managers definitely have more power now. However, this could lead to favoritism and nepotism, especially managers who might surround themselves with yes-men and end up giving all the benefits to their pets.

Based on grade and performance we will be allowed to give work remote privileges. Mike is pushing a carrot vs stick approach to leadership. Going forward performance will be rewarded and promoted, anything else will be laid off. I'm waiting for the hunger games to begin LOL
