I have nothing to do, mainly because I haven’t really sought out new work from superiors.
Is this normal?
Am I not the only one just ki-ling time?

You must work in a small safe pocket somewhere, everyone I work with is working crazy hours and never catching up
@fz So you prefer micromanagement? Is that good management to you?
At Fiserv nobody has time to micro manage you. You will be fired before you know it. It is 2025 and the market has a lot of people who are out of work, we don't need more people to micromanage. Firing the people who need to be micro managed would be the best management in these conditions.
Nobody likes to treat adults like children. If you aren't getting new work the chances are that you work you are doing isn't good.
Likely you have things to do just didn't do things properly or completely and forgot.
From my 20 years managing here and elsewhere, I can confidently say that the people who ask tend to be the people who forget what they were supposed to do on the work they were already assigned.
In every engineering job, you can do something better or learn an essential new skill for your job.
If that is not the case, it might just be a you problem.
I bet you are the smart little cookie sitting in the atrium on 3 all day watching youtube. Your hair is so frizzy and that orange shirt looks god awful on you. I'm glad I'm on a different floor or I'd push you of the chair and scream ...booger nose!
Ya this is our problem when you prioritize tracking over good management. I’m sorry but if you have nothing to do you job should be cut or your manager is poorly managing.
You’re the stapler guy.
Sounds like the recession will hits you big time. Use this downtime to update the resume and job hunt. You're on the layoff list.
@OP Aren't you bored? I can't imagine being in the office for the required 8-9 hours with nothing to do. Being busy is the saving grace for me. I look up and it's lunch time. Look up again, time to go.
Enjoy the ride
Must be nice, prob an analyst
You must be. Everyone is super busy on my team.
