Outside of your own false hopes and expectations based on unsubstantiated rumors, does anyone have any valid complaints about the new policy?

@jk Many employees have until just recently had their brain rotted out with Tik Tok and Insta, and ChatGPT'd their way through college, while their parents provided a comfortable safety net and a sheltered upbringing.
Don't be so hard on them.
It’s poorly written and needs to be clarified.
Nothing wrong. Ppl just b*tch too much about everything.
@jk please stay away from open flames. That giant strawman you're carrying around might catch fire and you could hurt yourself.

It seems many won’t be happy until they can work from home 5 days a week 1 hour a day. Take care of loved ones. Sleep when they want. Ability to go food shopping. Get over it. This is a job. If you don’t like it just leave. Don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split you.
It is a step on the right direction
It leaves room for managers to manipulate it to their liking.
It's smoke and mirrors for the gullible. They kept it vague so they can continue to use any means necessary to enforce their whim with impunity.
It’s weird for them to single out working parents in the email. Seemed pretty cold and heartless to have zero understanding for working parents without a stay at home caregiver, and no I don’t have kids. I also don’t like how keeping Sapience for remote workers can lead to discriminatory practices against disabled team members who work from home due to that as an accommodation, they will have pressure to meet Sapience requirements while their in house coworkers will not, at no fault of their own but having a disability. Seems unethical.
Not everyone is on the same page. The corporate wide communication failed. Maybe they will fix that issue with the follow up email? Or, maybe the failed internal communication will continue to plague the organization even after the change in leadership?
@ad not all managers are the same. I've seen, as well as have experienced, folks who show up and put down numbers be denied flexibility because "this is not an hourly or not a 9-5 job".
The policy for 8 hrs, for some reason, doesnt seem to apply to support. We've consistently been 9 hrs with little to no flexibility.
WFH is still being punished with trackers. Glad I am outta there.
The message was never going to satisfy everyone. the proof is what’s next. What I am assuming it means is my manager doesn’t care if I take what I need beyond the official policy because I’m good at my job. For people who aren’t or don’t show up at all, they probably get less slack. Which is how normal companies operate.
