Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CNIO org, DEG DT and ET severance

How many received the call and were told by HR that the company accepted their voluntary MOA severance form and would be retired on June 13?

Heard of at least 5 ET’s and 2 DT’s in GA, not all were from the targeted areas. It appears they are expanding the offer in some areas and not others. Needs of the business, I’m sure.

A nice bonded pair 6 line voip order in the hood’s neglected plant with crumbling xbox posts, overgrown pepper tree splice-aerial term with new IW and jacks in rat infested drop ceiling walk in clinic stink. The wire tech will turn it back because “can’t make my numbers”. Wire tech will move to an easy install.

Why can’t Wire Techs get the same pay for doing the same work that DTs are doing 50-75% of the time

Come get you some of these business accounts with 6 voip lines. I'll give them all to you.

There was a bit of a delay. They are still working on it. Off payroll by June 13th has been delayed…just a bit.

@df

“ Please don’t cry us a river about you making $45/hour doing work you don’t like.”

When you stop crying about RTO, relocation and your new upcoming 2 weeks severance policy.

Making love with his ego
Stanky su-ked up into his mind (ah)
Like a leper messiah
When the techs had grilled the man
He had to break up the band (RTO) “ layoff “

It’s “DS0” (Digital Signal 0) you union tech mo--n. And T1 is a specific designation for a transmission system and is simply one physical transmission schema for DS1.

SSIM is just a shell of what it used to be (much like DEG). Been that way for several years ever since non-designed business broadband was moved from AFO to BFS and legacy TDM services started being sunset.

Just get over it and be happy you make a group 1 craft wage. Things could be worse. Please don’t cry us a river about you making $45/hour doing work you don’t like.

SSIM DT is basically a Level II Wire Tech now, not many DSO, T1, OC3 ckts around these days.

It should happen tomorrow if you haven’t already gotten the call. They need to let employees take their HO’s and DP’s or they won’t get paid for them after leaving payroll, like vacation.

Heard several people discussing this today

@ac HR is saying that the company is still reviewing the offer and that they are hoping that the company will finalize the offers by this evening, which didn’t happen. I don’t know why I thought that it could have been communicated clearly.

As if anyone in HR is going to pick up the phone and do any actual work.

I’m currently waiting for the call. I was told by HR that communication should happen by the end of the business day today…. Maybe tomorrow?
