Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Funny how that works

It’s crazy how we’re still expected to buy into the idea that burning ourselves out for Humana is some kind of virtue. Companies love to talk about "family" and "commitment," but the second budgets get tight, you’re just a line item to cut. No loyalty, no second thoughts, just business. Funny how that works.

@OP You're right. I'm sitting here on Memorial Day thinking about the lack of freedom I have. I am so scared to say or do anything outside of the lines because of the fear culture and the fact is, they will dispose of you for any reason, even if no reason. This is the most vindictive company I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Everything is a facade, a smokescreen to try to convince workers that they care about us somehow when everyone from the top down to management level is just plain evil and out for only themselves. If they aren't, they don't last. I work at a clinic and the turnover is so high they can't keep certain positions and everyone else pays the price for it. My advice is to never let anyone you love have Medicare with Humana or get care from the clinics. They will do everything they can to deny you care and to keep from sending referrals to specialists even when they know you need it. I know this first hand and I'm trying to find a way out but I'm under a contract of sorts and can't just box up and leave.

You’re right but two can play that game. Give as much as you get. If you’re not being treated properly, fairly and equitably compensated, appreciated, respected or recognized, choose yourself and put your job in perspective.
