And so it continues. Big reoorgs across life sciences with lots of headcount loss and vague messaging from leadership. Seems this one was not R&D this time, more product management and marketing.

There’s also the “restructuring” game going on where the “de-band” roles to get rid of incumbents. The people disappear but the work doesn’t.
It's all about Earnings Per Share (EPS). Whatever it takes. Every quarter. Layoffs stay under the radar. Too few to set off a WARN. Internally you find out people are gone when emails go unanswered and names disappear from directories.
This has become standard operating procedure at Thermo. Rolling cuts to manage quarterly earnings without any sort of long-term plan.
