I have referred many talented folks to Verizon. None. Absolutely none got any interview call. Are these postings created for the folks who they want to give job? Doesn't make any sense. I am new to Verizon. If anyone has any insight. Please comment.

I’m an internal employee in a leadership position for years and don’t get responses to job postings I apply for internally. Don’t feel bad. They just don’t care to hire anyone who’s not within their clique of people they’ve already promised jobs to.
20 + years here and never got a call for a job that I wasn't going to get (only when hired for new position). Have heard "you were great, but..." through 3rd parties in the same department as the posting was for.
Just riding it out now, collecting the cash and getting the 401k match.
It’s not even malicious. We actually have mo--ns in this company like verifiably. And honestly, the only way to deal with it is not to actually care. People browse Reddit, here and everywhere. Get a vpn, type out what you want to say in to any AI Tell it to refine and anonimize. Read it over. Edit if you think something looks easy to figure out who it is. Then post. Being a di-k is easy if you can back it up.
I have analyzed this from the past few months. I send an email to Recruiter listed for the position. No response.
I am now very confident so called postings are created to promote someone or give a position to someone who hiring manager knows.
I was told there was a hiring freeze and.my area was forbidden to apply for any job postings
But then someone was hired by RA
what they did is like only like 50 or 60 yrs ago. they burned the company. anything that can be broken.......they broken and burned it. they burned the leaders at the stake. they even like said they were witches. they burn them at the stake. So we know that this means is that we got to break everything ...... don't make anything work....don't make any money....destory and burn it down. Yeah.....it will be more fun ....way more fun to watch the leaders cry and get outside the place. they will fall and fall...one after another....until the company doesn't exsist. when we don't do the the american way.......we burn it!!!!!!!!!!!
Most of Verizon jobs filled by third party contractors. Indian managers started shell companies and onboarding C2C workers. They bill Verizon $120 per hr, pay to employee $50-$60 per hr. Rest of the money goes to their account. Being a manager, they are making millions of dollars.
This is a kinda corruption, fraud involved. So, other applicants will not get any calls.
Always call the recruiter/hiring manager if you are referring someone.
You might also need to consider that your referral didn't actually apply, failed the prescreen assessment, butchered the initial screening
