Employee Surveys????

Trust me UHC you don't wanted me to take your survey.....

  1. There is no way it is anonymous.
  2. You don't listen to us anyway!

I mean please the part about your pay alone gets me laughing every time!
Oh and don't forget the burnout questions.
1's and 2's at best but then I'd be targeted for being honest ....
HARD PASS

So on one of the surveys the nurses(ICM) complained that the metrics were increased from 12 to 16 and minimal credit of 1 point is given. Management wants them to document minimally so they can deny your care . So leadership(some call center VP with no nursing background) raised certain cases to 1.5 because when escalated to medical director it requires more documentation and just to make sure they don’t complain, those metrics were increased to 20. And than they said, see we listen to you and we delivered but you have to do more cases . Aren’t you glad .

It’s definitely not even confidential. A former coworker gave negative feedback and her direct manager confronted her about it. She got laid off shortly after. I don’t do the surveys anymore.

I was a supervisor and our MAP scores were based partly on the survey results. My leadership went so far as to tell us on a town hall that we should think carefully about giving negative scores as it impacts our supervisors/managers. Super unethical and when I brought it up the leadership just shrugged it off as “we have always done it this way”.
I told my direct reports that they should just answer honestly even if it’s bad. Won’t affect my MAP scores as I was part of the “workforce restructuring” (I.e. laid off).

I did get to take the survey before my comp access was closed out though. It might not be counted in the results but it was cathartic to just be brutally honest.

A portion of RRP is based upon survey results so I used to give 5s across the board. But didn’t this year. Also- do not fill out the free form written portion if you are on a small team they will figure out who wrote it. The results do factor into a manager’s review.

So the truth about surveys is that they are confidential but not anonymous.

Rating low will only pi-s off upper management which will result in changes unfavorable to you and the department. Meaning to lay off the low score employees.

Bad company then play the game
Good company, no game to play.

Such conspiracy theorists... It is anonymous and in 22 years, I have never heard of anyone getting "called in" because of what they wrote. You get an individual link so you can't take it twice and so the results can be filtered by team. Managers know what percent of their team has taken it, but don't see individual comments unless they have at least 10 EEs under them.

Every supervisor I've had has tried to bully us into giving a 5.

It is anonymous you dolts. I'm a VP with 15 years here. They only way we figure it out is via free form answers. Just answer those smartly without being too specific.

There is tracking in urls so you can't take it more than once you delusional id--ts.

Will we do anything about your answers? Of course not! Complain about pay and we'll hide behind our superiors and say everything is out of our control. But please complain

Who cares if they who you are? I would suspect a lot of people give valid negative feedback. They still do nothing about it.

I have never been told it is mandatory by any supervisor over last 10 yrs.

It’s anonymous to most supervisors at least. My manager got some 1-2 or no answer and was extremely upset several years ago. None of the employees I’m aware of were ever called in or anything. They use aggregate numbers. Don’t think anything happens with the results tho because no changes happen and always seem to be better then expected

I would certainly not fill it out if you plan on being negative. They do track the responses and who writes them.

The survey asked do I feel burned out ? I had to laugh and then did some reflecting. I have had it with the gaslighting. Being told our “team” is family all the while the toxic environment and micromanaging. That’s not family so stop shoving the family talk down our throats. The problem is my management is so scared about the layoffs they have turned their insecurities into severe micromanagement. I work hard to be a top performer year after year and can’t stand being treated like a child . I try to give 100 percent every day but when I need supervisor support I get back 20 percent. Talk about burnout.

Definitely not anonymous. If it was we would be able to share the link to others if they can’t find theirs. I’m not taking it. It will be the first time ever that I am skipping it.

My sup said the survey was mandatory. I took it! Supposedly if we rated it like a 1 or 2, it falls back on the supervisor. Not sure if that’s true but that’s what I was told.

Do they penalize those who don't take the survey? I mean if they can see who took it, they can also figure out who DIDN'T take it, unless I'm missing something.

It's never been anonymous. Any survey that is linked to a user account is never anonymous. When I worked there, people who filled it out and responded negatively were brought into meetings afterwards to talk about it.

The only thing that hurts them on the surveys is you not taking it. Lack of engagement is any managers death knell.

Definitely not taking the survey. Even if we give suggestions it’s glazed over. Time to get rid of the fluff and stuff Managers. And it’s not anonymous
