But no one is posting here. It's a chance to give your personal perspective on how things were handled and help others prepare. Was it a 15 minute meeting with your manager?

How come Bay area employees don't get a WARN notice? Can we sue them or ask for a 60 day notice?
Unheard of on the severance unless you were at Oracle a long time. Also, first I heard of Cobra being paid. Usually it was gone immediately.
I am a part of SaaS org. I was let go on the 1st and so were some of my other colleagues who were above 60. Will have a chat with my attorney and sue the manager for discrimination.
6 months pay? How long did you work for Oracle?
I was told approx. 3% of all OCI (~13K) was impacted - which would equate to closer to 300-400 people
Ditto - I'm in OCI was effected. I was basically giving a Slack message from a Senior Director that I've never even met or even talked to before. Since it wasn't on my calendar and I already had something scheduled I missed the zoom call and subsequent follow-up Slack DM. An hour or so later I got a personal phone call from a number I've never seen and picked it up b/c it has a Northwest US Area code.
Anyway, the Director started by saying they had some bad news and immediately started reading from some pre-prepared script - after a line or two - I stopped them and asked if I was being RiF'd and they said Yes.
I said there no need for you to continue reading your script - all I really wanted to know was what my Severance was and my last day of access to close up/transition any final items and pull some personal artifacts off my laptop and if there was anything else they needed from me. They basically said I would have two weeks (end of the next pay cycle) - which was nice and approx. 6 months of pay (which was better than I expected) and 1 month paid Cobra Health benefits (which was much worse than I expected). The entire conversation took 6 minutes. I was then immediately emailed the RiF FAQ and giving an 800 number to follow-up with.
Just remember folks we are all just "At Will Employees" and can be tossed out at any moment no matter what the level, seniority or reason.
Can someone tell me, any layoffs in Bay area OCI especially?
I'm sorry to hear all of this, do you know who in SAAS specifically? Cloud Apps SE's? Cloud applications?

NA Cloud Apps SEs got hit today, ERP/SCM
HSGBU for sure...many gobalto team members got laid off
FBGBU impacted too . Two people that I know were laid off
Saas Impacted
Cloud Applications impacted. Customer Experience (CX)
Across many orgs in OCI.
Today is the day for OCI. I just heard a senior director colleague of mine is impacted. This is in OCI . We are an org that was recently merged into OCI
Repost:
Lots axed from Support. Apps UL gave a 15-20% haircut in every team. Cloud I hear almost 10%. 7 let go in JDE was already a skeleton crew.
Just laid off in OCI Object Storage. Was told I have 15 days to look for a new position
OCI --> Networking
More than 200 for sure in OCI. Easily 15%+ in AppsUL support. Cloud Support impacted but not so bad but many lost to attrition due to low pay, no advancement.
10-15 minute with your manager. severance package provided. usually a month's worth. Cerner was not prepared for this at all.
partners group
What group was your wife working for?
my wife got impacted.
it was a slack messsage from her org's VP (who happened to be 2nd manager to her).
She was given a zoom where she would join and they read out a prepared statement.
thats it.
11/15 last date.
