Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

How does the 9 hours a day work

Considering joining

Am not opposed to being in office 5 days a week it's what I was used to pre COVID.

Just trying to get an idea of what the 9 hours means. Would I have to be in the office 9-6? What if I wanted to take a shorter break? Can you start before 9 to finish earlier and still meet 9 hours?

Would really not recommend working here unless you get a ki-ler offer and plan to start looking to exit immediately.

You'll be so overworked, you won't notice the hours pass by.

An hour lunch? F'ing wasteful. I can get it done in under 20 minutes, to blow outta here 40 minutes sooner.

Got laid off end of 2024 - still come back to this website every now and then to remind myself what a joke this place is. Life has been a lot better since they let me go. Place is a complete clown show

Stay away from Fiserv. Moral is low and many thing are not good here. Many people have left or are gone because of lay offs. Now the future is AI, automation, and over seas workers (overseas workers are now populating the US offices). The previous CEO (and friends that are still with Fiserv have/are loading their pockets) have taken this company in the wrong direction. I am not sure where the new CEO will take things and if the "borad" will allow it. Many aniquated processes and systems never replaced/updated. Fiserv is a dumpster fire.

It is tracked by badge swipes and sapience. Sapience tracks your productivity for those 9 hours.

They watch the timestamps of badge in and badge out. Also there will be monitoring software that needs to track 8 hours of productivity so you need to keep jiggling your mouse.

9 hrs here is no different than anywhere else. You work 8 hrs with 1 hour lunch.

Working 8-5 for example.

The span between first badge-in and last badge-out needs to be at least 9 hours. If advise to take a full 1 hour break/lunch to minimize burnout.
