Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

finally able to leave

10+ years with the company but after this crazy 9 hour mandate and then svps thinking ill work 60 hours a week for 2% raise and less bonus - you can go shove it.

got the same $ but way better benefits elsewhere. no sapience, no badge swipes and 2 days remote.

Two weeks notice is best. I am a Fiserv survivor. Left two years ago after being there 18 years. I gave three weeks notice and wish I had done the standard two. My team was not happy I was leaving but it was the best thing I could have done for myself. Congratulations on the new job! The grass is definitely greener.

Happy Liberation day to OP. To the question about giving notice, some states are right to work, meaning the employees and the employer don't have to really give notice, your employment is at will. Giving notice only slightly helps you go back to that employer without burning bridges. But if they didn't like you, they could just put you on a a blacklist and not hire you ever again. It's up to them. It's technically illegal for a previous employer to say to the next employer you walked out, didn't give notice, etc, and all they can really do is verify a person worked here starting X date and ending X date. That's why a lot of big companies use a third party, so they can't say disparaging things about an employee. It would be pretty impossible to prove you didn't get a job because prior employer gave a poor employment verification.

Had an interview over my lunch break today. Fingers crossed. I’ve been trying for 6 months now to land something OTHER than fintech ugh.

I didn’t give notice when I quit and my new employer didn’t ask. Fiserv uses a third party company to verify employment and title. No other information is shared

Give two weeks notice.

You next company would expect you to do that, and you don't want them to think poorly of their new employee.

Your last day you can leave before brunch.

If you don’t mind me asking, did you give a notice of any kind or did you just walk? I got something and I’m contemplating what to do.
