Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

IC5 salary

I saw the max salary for IC5 is $251k in the job descriptions of OCI group, now I have two questions.

  1. If someone already drawing base pay more than $251k, will OCI beat the base pay disregarding the salary brackets.
  1. If not, will OCI hire anyone at IC6 role?

If both are not possbie, that means if someone is already drawing better base pay than $251k can never be hired at OCI, right? (Assumption: No one wants to take base pay cut)

Range highly depends on the role, if an engineering/SWE role, semi-technical like PM/TPM or non-technical like Program Manager for Operations/reporting team.

I saw many go for this “IC5” title internally and it does not address the salary disparities.

You’re IC5 congrats now here’s more work now for the same salary,.

OCI pays exceptionally well. I think Ic6 gets $1M.

Which roles in OCi pay in that range? Just curious as I'm in another part of Oracle and no one around me is making that money.

Same here. IC5, nowhere near 251K and I was just canned 2day.

You will be forced to stay within the lane, or not take the promotion.

I have been IC4 for many years, and I am not even making 1/3 of that amount as a base. And a number of years ago (maybe 10-12 years), I heard the cap for an IC4 was 100K, but it could have been raised since then.

IC6 are never hired from the street, they are either internally promoted from IC5 or acquired with a company bought by Oracle.

I am IC5 for several years, I am nowhere near 250k (and never will be), it's so much lower.
