Except a RIF next week is guaranteed.

Heard this morning from a coworker that his job is being moved to corporate. 5 people affected, official notice next Tuesday. My manager advised us he has no updates but word on any reorg supposed to be Nov. 7 or 8.
Humana hired a consulting firm who has made suggestions on where to cut. Always a great idea to hire an outside company to tell you what to do rather than look at your own data to see what is working. Guarantee in a year they’ll regret this particular decision.
I was impacted by a RIF from HUM in 2020. This is the standard operating procedure of Humana. As soon as there is any pressure, the employees are the first to take a hit. They aren’t going to let it hit the stock price. Good luck all, you will land on your feet. I work for a bigger health insurer now and make 70% more. Greener pastures ahead.
I’m just waiting on the email to come for the meeting…no longer stressed, just want to know.

I’ve been hearing rumblings that people impacted by RIF’s will be notified this week, and that official communication regarding the “realignment emails” will be sent next week. I’m not sure how true that is though. Maybe they pushed back the official Nov. 1 timeline. Not sure.
I’ve heard RIF notices will go out next week in the markets. Our market leaders have been more transparent than others. That’s not to say that other departments outside the markets won’t hear this week. Good luck to all!
