Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Dividend Guy Here

Hey all you Vteamers can’t wait for my $5000 in dividend payments via my 401k tomorrow and or today depends when you are reading this.

Thanks for making the dividend go up again !!!!!

Yes the stock price goes down the dividend yield goes up!!!!!

Maybe the company will start the stock buy backs again since they were able to drive the price so low.

Owning an old gte bond was where it was at. I bought a few of one really cheap and it paid a huge percentage and increased in value till the expiratiom those were good times.

Divi dude is definitly in a leadership or management role. His financial advice is about as solid as his business decisions. Lets lose 35% to make 7%. Just a total id--t.

You're outta luck for buyback hopes. As reported on a finance page yesterday:
"VZ stock provides a dividend but a buyback has been shelved amid 5G wireless investments. " They are paying still for the government auction of spectrum. Hans also said this is a peak year for network investments. So no. The oracle of Omaha sold all his Berkshire holdings of VZ back in March.

Maybe check the actual $$ value of all of that verizon stock in your 401k compared to last year before making such a short-sighted statement

That's not something to brag about, whatever the dividend yield is you still would be getting your $5k in dividends, the only difference of having the higher yield means that you lost equity money on your stock holdings since the stock price is way lower than it was when the yield was lower.

How are they going to do a buyback at these prices when they're 160bb in debt, and losing profit? Not a good time to do a buyback.

Dividen guy is a joke.... he made $5000 @ .65 a share. Means he has 7500 share approximately. Each share dropped $15. So he is celebrating a $5000 payout as his stock took a $110,000 hit. Nice math pumpkin head. 🎃 🤣

Verizon's upcoming ex-dividend date is on Oct 06, 2022. Verizon shareholders who own VZ stock before this date will receive Verizon's next dividend payment of $0.65 per share on Nov 01, 2022.

I hanks again Vteamers!!
