Seeing several posts about layoffs via group meetings which I’m skeptical about since we haven’t seen that yet and none of the posters are giving any kind of details that someone on the inside would have. If this is real, I’m sorry that this is happening to you and I’m sorry for being a skeptic but literally anyone can post here.

Many orgs in OCI. My entire old team from VP down was laid off beginning of Nov. 200 people. New VPs (some ex IBM hybrid cloud sales) coming in at least one Senior Director now reporting in this newer org but with much higher target ($100m ) and across more segments (Territory, products, verticals). A “promotion” to VP level but only in duties and role remit. Lucky them!
The cuts were harsh. Letters sent with immediate effect end October. My team were good, some of the best managers and thinkers I ever had the privilege to work with. How can we hold companies like Oracle be held accountable and fix the harsh relationship that so many workers have with their jobs today. All those left at Oracle including long term senior directors are running scared.

Although a small O presence in Broomfield, layoffs in the former STK/Sun product engineering lines. LE said it would melt away, just sad that it affects real people.

So far I can see Cloud NA impacted hard. Not much info being broadcast. Solution engineers, tech consultants/reps, many biz dev, value, a few I don’t recognize.
