I'm not so sure the managers lie about putting you up for promotions, I've been told MOST promotions are just plain denied. So even if an employee deserves it, managers hands can be tied in trying to promote them.
I worked at Fiserv for many years and all the merits raises were 1-2% except for one year when I got an exceeds and it was 2.5%. The raises at Fiserv su-ks and managers lie about putting you up for a promotion.
I got RIF’d in the November 2024 RIF and i have started selling on my own and I’m doing really well and I’m so much happier. Thanks for laying me off, this place was a disaster. Brutal!
Have the merit increases done? Many in my team did not get any.
This year was an up year vs previous years...
What do you mean this year? This is every year.
You'll get the same or worse raise next year and won't ever keep up with cost of living.
Pretty much status quo.
