Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Universal Bankers

Why are they replacing everyone as a UB instead on Rb or Sr RB ? I was told there trying to get rid of the older bankers and when they leave they will go with UB ? Can anyone comment on if that is true or not ?

Semi true. Senior leadership is trying to force front line managers to push out older bankers who are consistently underperforming. This goes for SrRB, RB and UB. EL is having increased pressure on senior leadership and front line managers by year end and it will cause them to bring “accountability”. The prime role that leadership likes to push for is RB because they like forcing people to sell although they want them on the line too. If you’re a the bottom of your peer group, you likely won’t last long staying there. SrRB is approved for boxes recently so this whole RB fad, is going to fade and they’ll likely be hiring any role rather than pushing one or the other although they are fading SrRB because they are trying to slim staffing for all branches slowly each year and once you’re mapped to UCB as universal branch, they tell you that you can’t have SrRB. So RB and UB is it and they lied about the money being spent for atms when they sold TIS. Instead of reinvesting into teammates and atms, they did share repurchases driving up their personal wealth gained through aip. If the atms came, UB would have been slimmed and transition to more of lobby leadership and walking people through atm.
