Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Annual Meeting of Stockholders is 11/16

Will anyone hold Oracle to account for how it treats employees, or are investors just there to sip champagne, eat caviar, and gloat in the fact that RIFs will maximize their investment?

"Oracle business model works just fine."

Exactly. Find a healthy company with a solid revenue stream, buy it, bleed the value off and then discard the desiccated carcass. Rinse and repeat. A shareholder's dream.

Why on earth would they do that?? The Oracle business model works just fine. Aquire companies, milk their support streams, and cut or eliminate product enhancements and expensive engineers. Not at all unlike the current private equity model in the US, which has become all the rage

How could you work at Oracle and not understand this?

When will somebody ask, how many reorganized are necessary before you get it right?

Actually stockholders probably prefer the employees to be treated like slaves to maximize their own profit

Board is responsible for Shareholder value, not socialism.
