Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Some people say the grass is green on the other side: Think again

Top elite rival firms such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon or top consulting firms such as BCG, Accenture, McKinsey etc… and some startups too use “Move up or move out” policy based on bell-curve evaluation performance system against their peers, even though they may not make it official.

Employees are shown the door if they don’t get promoted in a couple of years

Oracle customers are in jail. Nobody wants to be in jail unless they have to.

Someone could create a startup that helps current customers move off Oracle and onto something else. It would bo-m.

I'd invest.

Oracle is not about that. Do you work there? You can be cream up the crop good but they decide they are not selling something anymore. You are gone no matter how much you made them. Get a bad account or two and not make your numbers. Has nothing to do with how good you are. Most cases it has to do with customers not wanting anything Oracle and only renewing something because they have to for the moment.
