Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Compensation that makes no sense

Working a level 7 pay position. Been in this position for years. Finally got my 2025 merit. After years I’ve finally gotten $1,000 more a year.

Found out a certain grade 5 brings home $300 less than me. 😂

Money is so sacred here for a company that “moves money”. 😭💀

You have to be an Indian to get more money. They are being hired at higher pay and levels.

You should leave Fiserv, its one of the worst companies, the best thing i have ever done and got something 10 times better, there are other companies that will treat you much better!

Before I left fiserv, the best they could do was maybe a 1% increase the last 5 years I was there. Management kept telling me that there was nothing in the budget for anything more than that. In fact, some people got nothing during those 5 years according to my supervisor. It's like they gave me a minuscule raise and tried to make me feel bad about getting it.
Fiserv su-ks.

I got 2.5% and still at a grade 4. Guess those of you above can be grateful now. Been there over 15 years.

Three percent is pretty much a decent hike these days. Many companies pay 1-2% and that too every other year. 3% is actually what most expect unless you get a promotion. Almost no manager will give you an ‘exceeding expectations’. I meant most of the IT folks work 50 hours and still get “meets expectations “. The company is focused on EPS and share value. So no matter how much the revenue goes up it is not going up trickle down too much. If things get rough, the people at the bottom will get flushed. Welcome to the ONLY stockholder value counts economy

I got a little rinky-di-k 3% merit increase which amounted to an approximately $1,700 annual increase. I keep telling myself that it beats unemployment to suppress the disgust.

That said, it has been long understood --or should be by now-- that if you want to make major leaps in salary, you simply have to change position or company. And even if you change position within the same company, you'll probably get a bigger jump outside the company.

The way of the world, I guess. These corporations ain't loyal, so take your talent to where your wallet will be well fed. 🤷‍♀️

Probably time to look for another job if you have been at Fiserv for years and only a grade 7!
