I'm dying to get out of Humana, but every offer I've seen pays 5-10K cut if the job was right, but even those opportunities are scarce. I want to leave but at the same time I'm petrified of being laid off precisely because I know how fu---d up the job market is right now.

What is the latest DOJ lawsuit against Humana are you referring to?
Don’t give up! It took me three years to plan and execute my escape. There are less toxic, better paying jobs out there. Don’t sell yourself short. My escape resulted in a 30% pay increase with a better bonus and benefits. Humana is a sinking ship. With the loss of the star ratings appeal, and the latest lawsuit from the DOJ Humana is not going to be able to stay afloat without laying off about 40% of their staff.
It is even worse in the last year. Keeps getting worse. Torn between wanting to do a good job but can’t meet unrealistic expectations. So I’ll ride it out and keep sanity. Not going above and beyond for sure. Whatever happens I’m cool with it!
The lack of leadership at the top is starting be evident. This is what happens when reckless leadership disguises itself as progressive change management- but instead of strategic transformation, it’s chaos wearing corporate buzzwords. Lack of restraint, zero meaningful research leads to disastrous execution. When leadership refuses to pause, assess, and lay a stable foundation, every shift ends up being more disruptive than constructive. We are in the Eye of a shiticane here, boys.
Everyone I work with is dreaming of an escape, me included. This place is more toxic than people can imagine.
Try to take advantage of free education and certifications offered while you are still there. E.g. green belt, CCM, education reimbursement to improve your chances of finding something and somewhere better or moving within H.
