Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What an awful way to live

People always in fear of losing their jobs, changing of expectations on a dime, pathological micromanaging, and making life harder for the people that keep the company running, for no other reason but to make it harder is sadistic. I don't understand why life has to be this way, but it is at a lot of large companies. It's baked in to the culture. ATT pays well so maybe they feel it's justified to treat people like cr-p since most people have no degrees but instead worked their way up to 6 figure positions. They know they have them by the short hairs and they abuse that fact. Most families can't throw that kind of money down the drain along with their health insurance just to work at a job that pays half, but after a colleague died at the airport as part of his travel for att, I hope people see that as a cautionary tale. Lots of love to everyone. Don't forget to take care of yourself.

I hope his family sues. The execs need to be introduced to the concept of consequences.

Jesus allows this to persist in the world.

It’s his plan. What a man!

It’s a joke. I left 6 months ago after 9 years and each day is better than the last. It’s a trick and a lie to think it will get better, it won’t. Leave as fast as your can.
