Good points on explaining DEI and for the person that found one sided articles to make themselves feel better bravo… For all of those that that can speak more than one language, frankly have any degree, technical / engineering degree etc , possibly got their degrees after starting a family. More than one degree, certifications, and those that have worked hard and struggled through obstacles. DEI is the new excuse for the lazy, entitled, mean, or undereducated or a combination. I am educated and would NOT fall under this “DEI” so I think ha, I also voted for our current administration. So not all of us feel like that. I have worked for this company for 10 years and have seen a lot of change. I have peers of every nationality and I adore them all. I want my administration, my company and country to succeed. Making people feel less than because they are different is PURE ignorance. Prayers to those who were surplussed yesterday. When one door closes a better will open. DEI has Nothing to do with surplus.

Nice try. Most DEI programs exclude age. There have been articles that call it out. So quit with your BS.
" Only 8 percent of organizations, according to a PWC report, include age as part of their diversity and inclusion strategy."

For the Ignorant people.. DEI is, Age, Gender, Disability as well. So frankly if you are over 50 and have diabetes, vision, recovering alcoholic, mental illnesses you tooooo fall under DEI. So yep! For the one crying about DEI you AND SOMEONE in your family falls under DEI

Generally T will offer voluntary severance first when it comes to union technicians. Just makes sense to let the senior techs leave and it’s much cheaper

Union Protected, with 30 years.
Please, make me an offer.
T has to make offer before surplus in this region.
Contract.

Absolute fact that not a single DEI hire will be fearful of losing their job today. Isn’t that right Jeremy? A self loathing white man, lifting up others by crushing the careers of those that earned it and made his life successful. What a f-king A1, orchestrating mother f-king tool bag you are dude. BTW, HBO suks.

OP just loves drama. Wants to be the first to tell everyone else in the office what they know. Yeah, I’ll make sure this is the first thing I do - come to this exact thread and let you know who I lost my job. Won’t even call the wife before I let YOU know.

“ Union Protected.
Ain’t going anywhere.”

Clearly, you haven’t been around here long enough.

“Union protected” employees have already been impacted this year and sadly it’s only April.
