Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Up to 10,000 people could lose their jobs?

Is that number accurate? It’s being thrown around a lot.

My heart goes out to everyone already affected.

The goal in E&I was 950 to take VRSP and 2280 took it, so they will not lay anyone off.

I agree it's going to be a large sinking ship suddenly management wants to know what you have applied for and are you looking for other jobs in different departments. All of the sudden encouraging you to apply for other jobs? Anyone else have a management like this.

I heard more like 50,000 in the next year. But they will only do a little at a time and vary from state to state to avoid media attention to the sinking ship.
