When should I put in my notice to have medical insurance for the whole month? Anytime after the 1st or should I wait longer?

I was surplussed and my last day on payroll was April 11th. I will have my benefits until the last day of the month
Company Extended Coverage (CEC) for Separated Employees: If Management surplussed and not yet eligible for Medicare you should get 6 months of your current health benefits.
Unless that has changed for 2025.
If eligible for Medicare call ATT Benefits and request a FORM CMS-L564 (proof of employer insurance coverage) to enroll in Medicare Part B.
Read your SPD.
WHEN COVERAGE ENDS
*Coverage under the Program generally terminates on the last day of the month in
which your employment with the Company ends.*
Get real. Your not going to be covered if your not working here.
Your benefits will continue through the end of the month. I'd also make the 2nd my last day, just to be safe.
I was surplussed and my last day on payroll was April 11th. I will have my benefits until the last day of the month. If you quit, I don't know if your benefits would end on your last day on payroll, or if you would have them until the end of the month. If you give your notice on May 2nd, and your last day is May 16th, your benefits might end that day depending on company policy.
The answer is make sure you are on payroll that month and it carries for that month. I’d put the 2nd to be safe.
Bueller....Bueller....
The one time responding “first” isn’t stupid and op ruins by replying to themselves twice with unnecessary additional details
Example, if I put my notice in on the second of the month are my health benefits covered til the end end of that month? This is for an exempt manager.
This is for exempt by the way.
