It’s the healthcare industry, no one is ever safe.
We were just in a meeting, everyone that was in that meeting survived. All those that were not in our meeting, received notifications and were chopped today. Supposedly we will be good for the rest of the year. I am so glad I didn't take the severance. Holymoly that was the most stressful meeting in my life! But we are safe for now!
It sounds like there's some uncertainty surrounding the process. From what I’ve gathered, it typically involves a meeting, a town hall, or an email. They might call you to inform you, or you may find that your schedule isn’t updated anymore after a specific point in your department, if your department uses one. I can understand how confusing and frustrating this situation can be.
