Lately, it feels like those have been completely closed off. With below-average pay compared to other banks and very limited opportunities for career growth, it’s hard to stay motivated. I’ve been stuck in the same role for so long that boredom and disinterest have completely set in. I’ve even found myself secretly hoping to be laid off. And I imagine I’m not the only one who feels this way.

I know what you mean. They’re either closed off or it’s so competitive you might as well be looking externally.
