So here it is! Bust your @$$ for YEARS and bye bye! I'm curious to see how our provider groups are going to feel left high and dry. Good Job, United! You've failed us ALL!!!!!!

My heart literally hurts over this hearing PEX staff were let go. Under Baker's org, easily 8-10% (if not more) took the buyout. I did. I was so hoping that enough of us took it to keep you all safe, at least for a while. While I have had time to wrap my mind around leaving and coordination of insurance etc, you have not. For that I am so very sorry. :( You are an extremely hard-working team and do not deserve how this all went down. Providers will not be happy, I am sure. I wish you nothing but the best!
I was told benefits end May 31st. Not April
I'm so sorry for all of you being laid off by UHC. This happened to me last April. I wish you all the best. You didn't deserve it.
Your severance should include all time at UHC unless you had an employment gap and was rehired. I would check with HR.
Provider Advocacy Mass Layoffs Today (pex). The team I was on was laid off except one Manager. Also on my way out got kicked in the teeth by being told my severance didn’t include total time at UHC but only with PeX. Way to crush someone even more.
I work in c&s in value creation? Any insight for this?
Thanks to the powers that be, it now takes a minor miracle to reach anyone at Social Security or any other federal agency. So if UnitedHealth fires enough people to undermine their own members, it'll just be par for the course.
If anyone would like to chat about these layoffs please reach out Mansur.Shaheen@FT.com or on Signal (encypted messaging chat) at 202 492 7955
Is C&S departments included in the layoffs? My business manager’s team has a mandatory 15 meeting. We’re all advocates.
Keep us posted we are now waiting on town halls or any other way they are trying to alert us it seems stay strong everyone.
I know there are at least 6 supervisors from Ops let go. They all had call taking Advocates supervisors. These were member facing roles. Also had a meeting that this will continue in groups through Tuesday and perhaps into Wednesday and that my area will be reorganized and we will learn out fates next week.
So if I heard you right they are doing town halls thru next week and clearing out everyone. They want gone in a town hall? Yikes

Benefits through April 30 is down right evil
I would be scared to be the one who gets to stay a mass firing I'm sure we will all be gone soon at this rate.
I am so so sorry. Sending hugs good vibes to you. I am sorry this happened.
Isn't the WARN act State specific? Which could be why they were able to keep it under the radar as we're remote.
I hope that everyone finds strength in these times! I am so sorry to all affected.
I'm sorry for all that we're laid off today. We did hold a valuable role which evidently gone unnoticed. For those who asked, today is our last day. Severance is based on number of years worked. Benefits end the 30th.
Did they at least offer a severance?
For those let go, was today your last day or working through 5/1?

Yep, I got laid off today too. Contact your state. Under the WARN act they are required to give 60 days notice and report it to the state for 50+ employee terminations. I don’t see a notice filed in MN.
I was just let go. So sad. I don't know what I am going to do.
I've been laid off as well, also from PEx.
Are they just letting them all go even ones that choose to stay.
That's so sad. I felt advocates were a very valuable role
Most of the advocates were let go. Exact number out of about 400, not sure.
PEX is where it's happening. (The provider advocates) and yes we were offered VRSP but like most, we weren't
in a financial position to take it..
PEX is Provider Engagement & Experience.. It is where the Provider Advocate folks live..
What is pex?
This is happening in PEX
Was your team previously offered VRSP?
So sorry to hear that. Which leader is this under?
I hope you're doing okay. Can you share which department you're in? I'm also wondering how many from your team were impacted by this.
