I checked my presence report for last week and it had ZERO in office hours for me. WRONG. I’ve got pictures of my laptop screen with date and time that shows I get in the office and the time I leave. I let my supervisor know and he believes me, but I’m still concerned. This su-ks!

“ It is becoming an industry standard…”

No it is not, so stop lying about that.

Most in this “industry”, as well as others still maintain a structured hybrid schedule for their management employees.

You can ask people to stop complaining, but you need to stop lying. No one believes you.

RTO is a tired discussion. It is becoming an industry standard and isn’t specific to T.

"An employee in my department who was let go could never be reached on Teams in the afternoon when remote. This had been happening for years. T is late to the game with presence tracking."

That's a supervisor issue. If you need a presence report to measure performance, both the employee and supervisor should be put on a PIP and subsequently terminated if there isn't a swift and substantial improvement. Believe it or not, there are individuals who are more than capable of time management. Not only that, I work with several people across the business who can deliver far better results in 2 hrs than many can in an 8 hr. day. If your measure of success is a warm body with an a-s in seat for 8 hrs, maybe you're the problem.

forcepoint, FIDO, etc.

For FU-K sake. Forcepoint and FIDO are not being used to track anyone. They are security tools.

Yubikey has no mechanism for tracking anyone. It's a hardware key designed to provide physical security to counteract stupid people who insist on clicking phishing emails and inputting their RSA tokens.

“Full time return to office is just that...FULL time! Not go home at lunchtime, not afternoons after 9 holes. Whether it's 40, or 50, or you do more elsewhere, it's full fu--ing time IN THE OFFICE.”

What are you doing here posting this stuff?Shouldn’t you be working? You clearly have too much free time on your hands. Someone should look into that.

To all the d-mbos, whether company will shutdown, people will follow what will be send in written, no matter its 40 or 109 hours. You will just keep on waisting money or hiring and firing, and think that you are very intelligent.

To the bozos that don’t comprehend or don’t want to comprehend, hours worked away from the office is still hours worked.

Smells liked fried chicken leggs.

If they give specify a number of hours it wouldn’t be possible to randomly terminate employees.

Is there any communication on how many hours required? This company always supported WFH or flexible hours. If they really want employees to come for 8 hours or more than 3 hours then what is wrong in sending a clear message. Unnecessarily they are targeting employees.

If you are in the office btwn 8 - 5 locally for most teams then you are safe from any presence reports as there are other applications in use for tracking depending on your exemption status. Badge swipes, forcepoint, FIDO, etc.

Track your own hours, email yourself the tracker weekly, put in a full day as you should. Yes the report is off and is under reporting time for a lot of people. We get questioned for anything less than 8. I’ve already had to whip out my tracker to my boss, she knows I’m keeping tabs, I don’t hear anything about it any longer.

The people they let go had <3days and/or <3hrs per day in office. The report was out there. Inaccurate or not, if you fell in that category, you knew it. Next up are the people between 5-6hrs per day.

Too funny if anyone thinks your manager or their manager would even raise a finger to help. It’s another unethical method of how T cares about anything we do. We all can list this with the other shameless things we’ve seen.

“The report is much more accurate than it used to be. Those being terminated are way under the average and were only working part-time hours.”

Nope. It was still plenty off for me and others. Next case, step down.

I am no fan of RTO, but you people need to be real. If you are coming close to eight hours a day, this really is not an issue.

Take pics and keep as evidence on your personal device. They take your laptop away with no notice so no chance to email yourself the evidence. A spreadsheet log kept on your work laptop wont help.
