This seems to be an echo chamber for Cap1 employees or nervous discover folks. All opinions, nobody knows what will happen. Cuts from both workforces I'm sure, but then again it's not like that wasn't something that would have happened before? I think focus more on actually getting work done.

You're right. Ther are certainly redundancies between the orgs and Capital One has a long history of not shying away from laying off MFers.

Capital One will sell the Riverwoods Campus in less than 3 years. All they want is the
Discover and Pulse Network. Once it is fully integrated say good bye to all the Discover employees. Not sure what the plan for the international market will be and the cards that currently run on the Visa and MasterCard network.
They are going to close 1/2 the Riverwoods campus. . Expect layoffs by end of the year.
Once the technology and DFS network is fully integrated it will be lights out for riverwoods employees. 2 to 3 years max.
If it’s like HSBC to Capital One it will start in a year and be centered in shedding Discover real estate expenses and the employees that work in those buildings. Then the redundant HR support, Analyst, and tech roles.
All Capital One will be gone to make room for the superior Discover employees.
