Title says it all. I have a little tickle in my throat, cough, cough.
When feeling under the weather, I would normally work from home, sniffle.
But since I can’t, I am taking a full paid sick day off compliments of Stankey.
My meetings, contributions, assistance, read out to upper management, everything, will all have to wait until my return on Monday. This is how we do it.

I haven’t taken a sick day, in YEARS, but I did this year!
Guess what, you get ZERO, not even any acknowledgment for perfect attendance.
With ALL things that are RTO craziness, if I’m sick, it’s a SICK day now!

God, I hope so. Would that guarantee that I get let go with severance?

Pathetic. This site is for whiners, cry babies, and losers. What a pitiful echo chamber frequented by people who should need to leave AT&T if they are unhappy.

You must be a L4 or above. They are the only sc-m that have different rules and work styles afforded to them while we are treated like $hit. In that case, there are many here that would like to throw stones at you like in biblical times for what you have done to us.

Taking a sick day the Friday of a holiday weekend? That isn’t suspicious at all.

Be careful because “sick days” when they are not covered by FMLA are “chargeable” absences and too many non-FMLA covered absences can get you fired.
Sick time benefit is actually pretty generous compared to a lot of other companies where it's limited and you have to earn it. So that probably means it'll be the next thing they target.
I have taken max 5 days of sick days in last 3 years, and till now I have not taken any.
Today I learned that in India people get 10-12 sick days, seems like I will be sick most randomly in the next 6 months for 10-12 days.
