I remember when we started this I was told that we would only be prompted once a day. Well that went out the window fairly quickly. Now I have to use this thing probably six or seven times a day.

The keys are probably far cheaper than RSA tokens, and the system does more.

There is no kickbacks, YubiKey is significantly more secure than a token, especially when it comes to protecting against spoofing attacks and MFA fatigue

And yet I have to type in a 6 digit code with my Yubikey, just like I had to type in a code with my RSA token. It saves no time at all. In fact, it takes longer dig thru my bag to find it and plug it into the USB port.

We buy the keys from our BAU hardware vendors, they're about 65 cents each.

Of course, there's software behind the scenes, but Yubico is not a backyard operation. It's another step in two factor authentication, just as SecureID was 30 years ago.
