Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

My manager is micro

They are so intrusive that it’s impossible to focus on work. Master of workflow interruptions. Also, someone constantly checking on you translates into questioning your professionalism and competences. Does wonders for morale. I have noticed that micromanagement is somewhat fashionable across WF. Great style. I imagine it multiplies the outcomes. I’m, ofc, sarcastic.

You have to remember that none of the executives or CEO in particular really cares about your morale ... Last year the micromanaging end inadequacies of managing became so problematic for an executive in his personal life that he went back to his office in Delaware got to the highest floor and thought he was Superman and there was no moment of silence no itself evaluation of how we can do things better, etc

Wells Fargo says one thing and does another and they expect you to give them your pound of flesh everyday because to them you are a worthless meat sack who's meant to fill a seat and can be replaced by anyone anywhere.

This is the persona the executives portray all the way down.

If you wonder why it's like this well it got this way because all the executives are basically Indians if you look at it from a country perspective India has about 180 vacations due to holidays a year they're able to have a lot more free time some of their teams let them work from home more so than in the office because traffic is so bad in the major areas over there it just takes 8 hours to get to the office so they actually treat them with sympathy but if you're an American answering to an Indian boss you are are the problem and you need to be forced out and set up for failure and much more.

This is why many American bosses put on their Maybelline lipstick get on their hands and knees and kiss every Indian butt at the office.

You want validation you want peace of mind you want to be happy going to work and working for a strong American company well this is not that company here they will psychologically and emotionally destroy you and when you're lifting up your hand asking for help they're going to drop their pants go number two on your decaying corpse

Well, Bridgit is macro, supersized , buffet style and ‘all you can eat’. So it’s the luck of the draw.

Executives are using Agile as a way to justify their obsessive micromanagement through metrics.

Wasn't "going agile" supposed to minimize this? I was cut over 4 years ago when agile was just being introduced to WF. I have been on some "agile but" projects on some consulting gigs. Looking at the posts on this board, especially those concerning "wagile" I guess agile really didn't take hold here. Or do only the forehead dot Indians only know how to do agile.

All of my managers here over 20 years have been very hands off.

Must be the org or maybe type of work you do, but I wouldn't call it widespread across the entire company because you know of a couple

my old manager was very hands off and I was super productive and independent, they left and the manager my group got reorged under is super micro manager and needs to provide their two cents on everything to the point where it slows everything down. now I second guess everything I do and am much less efficient.

Those are all classic symptoms of micropeen. Sorry you’re going thru that.
