Does anyone know how unpaid time off works as a salary worker? Or can you go negative for your wellness and then they remove that time from your balance next year?

Fiserv offers a Leave of Absence, which you leave unpaid for a while and then return to your same job.
Paid time off for those without unlimited did allow someone to go into vacation debt. Unclear if they still do this with all the time off changes.
You could also work out unpaid time off. However it is doubtful that the in-office and badge report spread sheet would consider this. You may move yourself to the head of the line for layoffs because of their incompetence.
You could ask but you may not get an accurate answer because the internal communication is so bad at this organization.
Specifically I’m asking if we are allowed to use unpaid time off or if that puts you on HR radar
You don’t get paid
Try being a contract worker. We can unlimited time off with no pay but no benefits either and can be terminated so easy. This saves severance pay. I was one and left the place in November 2029. BTW lotsa promises to go perm and never happens.
